Community Outreach Service

We provide support to those who are vulnerable and experiencing isolation.

Funded by our own charitable reserves, this service provides personal support for people who are socially isolated or experiencing loneliness. The aim of the service is to help people find and join a community in which they feel accepted and safe.

Our Community Outreach team supports people to build basic social skills through regular interactions, building confidence to listen and communicate before joining a community. Once ready, our team will find a community the individual is interested in and support them to attend, including arranging travel and joining them to visit. This support will taper off as the individual grows comfortable and confident in their chosen community, allowing them to build real friendships and improving their mental health and wellbeing.

All our Advice and Guidance services aim to identify any other needs an individual may have, and regularly signpost to other services, both internal and external.

We also deliver "pop-ups" all over the county, where we will deliver money advice, employment skills support and domestic abuse sessions in different venues, such as food banks, churches and community events.
