Our Great Achievements

Jane Simpson who took up the post of CEO 6 months ago, has been looking at our strategy for the next few years. Part of the exercise is looking back at things ACT has achieved through our last strategy from 2018-2021. In those 3 years, together we have (amongst other things):

  • Extended our reach into Norfolk and Essex with our Appropriate Adult Service in Norfolk, the Norfolk and Suffolk Community Rehabilitation Contracts and the Tendring Rough Sleeper Service
  • Attended 12,670 Appropriate Adult call-outs
  • Supported 113 children in care with an Independent Visitor
  • Carried out 1,751 mediations for families with children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities
  • Maximised income for service users by £780,000 and managed £2.96M of debt through our Money Advice Service
  • Supported 1,538 victims of domestic abuse, along with their children
  • Grew our accommodation services from 146 to 284 bed spaces
  • Supported 211 people who were rough sleeping in East Suffolk, Tendring and Ipswich into permanent accommodation
  • Increased our volunteer workforce from 200 to 275
  • Gave our communities 69,400 hours of voluntary support (that’s the equivalent of 35 full time posts!)
  • Increased our turnover and the people we support by 95%.

Jane says:  ” These are amazing statistics and that’s before we even look at the real change we have effected for our service users, the real people. We all deserve a massive round of applause! So thank you all for your contributions and for making my first 6 months as your CEO an absolute dream. I hope you are all looking forward to the future as I am and all the opportunities that our new Strategy will bring.”
