Our latest volunteer says it all…

Having recruited 21 new volunteers across our services recently, we asked our newest recruit for some feedback.

Chelsea has undertaken a 10-day social work placement with ACT and she’s enjoyed her work experience so much that she’s going to be volunteering with us – here’s what she had to say:

“My experience at Anglia Care Trust was brilliant and now I’m going to volunteer with them.  During my 10 day student placement I observed services including Advocacy, Independent Student Advice and the Domestic Abuse Outreach Service. I learnt a range of skills and developed my knowledge which will enable my development as a student social worker.

I  was able to identify ACTs mission statements and values in their everyday practises and witnessed first-hand how the organisation works with service users in a professional and caring way.”

We’re delighted that Chelsea enjoyed her time and found her placement so useful. Of course, we’re also delighted to welcome her as one of our new volunteers.
